About
Beechmont Estate is a luxury country retreat, a place where you can reconnect with nature and return to life’s pleasures.

About
Beechmont Estate (formerly Hazelwood Estate) is a luxury country retreat just outside the small township of Beechmont, near Binna Burra in the Scenic Rim. Just 90 minutes from Brisbane and 45 minutes from the Gold Coast, the 75-acre property neighbours the World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park.
Escape to Beechmont Estate and taste the region’s finest ingredients, sip a drink on the sunset terrace, enjoy a scenic bush walking trail, or retreat in five-star luxury.

Destination & Location
Located on Lamington National Park’s Beechmont plateau approximately 600m above sea level, Beechmont Estate experiences its own micro-climate and some of Australia’s most fertile deep red volcanic soil.
Beechmont is around six to eight degrees cooler than the Gold Coast and is home to the second highest rainfall in Australia outside of Tasmania. We think it’s the perfect excuse to cosy up to the fire all year round!

Retreat & Farm Map
Beechmont Estate is spread across 75 acres of idyllic hinterland countryside. We welcome guests to explore the many delights the property has to offer including the kitchen garden, polo fields and sunset terrace.

Our Story
Beechmont Estate is proud to be part of the Northern Escape Collection, a curated portfolio of boutique sustainable lodges and experiences that celebrate Queensland’s diverse natural beauty in one bespoke journey.
Inspiring authentic experiences and lasting memories, discover luxury island hideaways on the Great Barrier Reef (Orpheus Island Lodge and Pelorus Private Island), invoke the spirit of adventure in the outback (Mt Mulligan Lodge), and succumb to country elegance in the Scenic Rim (Beechmont Estate).

Sustainability
At Beechmont Estate we take our commitment to the natural environment very seriously and have implemented a number of environmental initiatives. Green building principles were embedded in the estate’s design and construction, harvested rainwater is the only water used onsite and solar power accounts for the vast majority of the retreat’s energy usage.
Ingrained in the ethos of our signature restaurant, The Paddock, is a focus on hyper-local and sustainable produce, using this produce from root-to-stem and nose-to-tail. Guests are also immersed in this philosophy with environmental education at the heart of many of our experiences and activities.
