Private Guided Walks

Experience the World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park with a private guided walk for two, tailored to your interests and walking ability. Journey through Gondwana Rainforests of Australia and explore natural and human history, hidden gorges and mountain lookouts and hear stories of local pioneers and modern-day wilderness protectors with your experienced guides. Minimum two persons per reservation.

  • Morning or afternoon short walk: 2 – 3 hour guided walk, exploring the shorter walks in Lamington National Park. Options include: Yangahla Lookout, Tullawallal (Antarctic Beech Tree Grove), Gwongoorool Pool or Back Creek Gorge (subject to availability).
    Mon – Sat: $139 per person
    Sun: $169 per person
  • Half day: 4 – 5 hour guided walk exploring Daves Creek Circuit or Coomera Lookout, or Lower Ballanjui Fall.
    Mon – Sat: $199 per person
    Sun: $249 per person
  • Full day: 8 – 9-hour walk, exploring Coomera or Ships Stern Circuit.
    Mon – Sat: $289 per person
    Sun: $339 per person

Most walks meet at the Teahouse at Lamington National Park’s Binna Burra entrance, a six kilometre drive from Beechmont Estate. Includes private Lamington National Park guide, morning or afternoon tea, public liability insurance and National Park fees. We recommend adding a Paddock Picnic Hamper for Half & Full Day Walks.

Self Guided Walks

You can also set off and explore the national park yourself, entering the park at the Binna Burra section, a short drive from Beechmont Estate. Park maps are available from our Front Desk and you can also find a summary of walking tracks of the Binna Burra, Green Mountain and O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat sections of Lamington National Park below.

Birdwatching Experience

Rise early to discover some of the beautiful, rare birds in Lamington National Park, guided for two hours by a local expert birdwatcher in and around the Rainforest Circuit. Meet at the Teahouse at Lamington National Park’s Binna Burra entrance, a six kilometre drive from Beechmont Estate. Includes private Lamington National Park guide, native lemon myrtle tea and cake, public liability and National Park fees.

Cost – $90 per person (minimum two persons per reservation).

Binna Burra

Lamington National Park is made up of two sections – the Green Mountains and Binna Burra. The Binna Burra section wraps around the back of Beechmont Estate with 13 walks for all levels of fitness and experience, ranging from a short 1.2 kilometre, 30 minute rainforest circuit to 36 kilometre return, Wagawn track starting at the Binna Burra trailhead.

Green Mountains & O’Reilly’s

The Green Mountain and O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat section of Lamington National Park is one of two sections with walks linking to the Binna Burra section and Beechmont Estate. The Green Mountain section surrounds O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat covering nine walking trails from the 1.8 kilometre, 30 minute Centenary track, to the 7 hour, 21.4 kilometre one way Border Track, traversing the NSW border leading to Binna Burra and Beechmont Estate region.
